What is the overall length of the interior door lock knob on a Daytona?

Ghoste

I think it depends how far you screw it down, didn't they use the same lock knob for a whole boat load of applications across a large number of years?

They might have I'm not sure. I know in looking at nos door lock knobs I'm seeing different length knobs. I'm wondering what a 69 charger or Daytona came with originally.

If this isn't answered by the time I get back from church, I can go measure the ones in my Daytona. No reason to believe they aren't the original ones...

heres mine  ,  although mine  has a earlier SPD , 22nd November 1968 , Hamtramck assembly plant  . & not a Daytona  ,    my charger was only 19 years old & a original 63k mile car bought from the second owner ,  mostly un tampered with  , apart from a motor swap , front   seat covers , few other things & some jerry rigged wiring repairs ,  you could tell  the inner door panels had never been off , when I was doing the resto . would say the inner door lock button below is the original to the car  :yesnod:

The different lengths are due to the fact whether the car is equipped with upper door pads or not

Were the cars with upper door pads equipped with the longer or shorter knobs?

Hi Dayclona: Did the cars with the upper door pads have the longer lock knobs?
