Hi,

Just wanted to say that I am new here and it feels nice to be part of this site. It's awesome! I see
some great Chargers.

I was hoping that someone may answer a tech question for me? I have a 69 Charger, I did a
disc brake conversion in the front.  I used all of Master Power supplied parts. I have one issue of
concern now that the kit is installed.

The left wheel when turned all the way to any one direction, causes the flex line to kink. It reaches
it's maximum turning length. Almost as if it would tear apart if I forced the wheel further. Does this
make any sense to anyone here?

In advance, I have owned the Charger now for a few years and done all the work myself. I am by
no means a well experienced auto mechanic. I love the Charger body style and it is my first
project car. I appreciate any feedback I get from anyone. I know many of you here can build
these cars with your eyes closed. I simply take it for what it's worth and do my best.

I did call MP on this issue and to my amazement, they suggested that I see about someone
making me a longer line! If that is the case, it needs to be 3 inches longer. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Can you possibly post a picture? What you are describing is deadly dangerous, and needs to be corrected immediately.

Though I may be totally wrong, I'm guessing that it is an issue with your installation and not a problem with the MP kit. I'm not a fan of the MP kit's but I have never seen one that was actually dangerous with correct installation of the supplied parts.

EDIT: Don't drive the car untill you get this problem taken care of.

I agree , something is really wrong , I assume the calipers are mounted in front of the spindle or in rear as suggested in the kit , if not the spindles are on the wrong side & this alone may correct the problem , if not you need a longer hose or relocated frame mount for sure

Yes, I agree something is wrong. I will try to take a picture when time allows. I currently have
the Charger at a buddies house. We are putting the restored front clip back in. I need to
come to a conclusion very shortly on this brake issue. There is a car show coming up in my
home town next month, the 21st. This will be my first show ever with the car and I am
determined to make it there.

But, I agree... it's not safe at this point to drive any where. I appreciate the info and ideas so
far.  I will look into the suggestions.

Thanks -

By the way... any one going to the Mopars In May show at the California School For The Deaf?
