Anyone going to the swap meet this weekend? always a good time, lots of walking but tons of stuff.
I think its one of the three biggest on the west coast :drive:

I heard last year there wasn't much mopar stuff there. Well maybe this year I'll go. It's off of exit #307 on Marine dr. isn't it?
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

I'm skipping it this year for two reasons. My dad's memorial is on Saturday and the last time I went to the swap meet I spent two solid days walking the entire property, including the race track, and all I found worth buying was a pair of rear arm rests and a pair of sunvisors. Oh yea, I also got a service manual and a pair of vintage Oregon licence plates. I walked my legs off and ended up with a few small items I could have easily found on the internet. If you want Chevy and Ford stuff you'll find a lot there but Mopar stuff is real hard to find.

The one year I went [ of two]  it was pouring down rain. Everyone looked like wet rats.  Lots of stuff of all kinds, but don't expect too much strictly mopar stuff.

I went Friday, there was three 68 Chargers for sale there. Two red ones and one that was painted
black and I could not tell the original color, everything was shut on the car and nobody was there.

I found a few things hard to believe, a 402_HP oil pan for $10.00 not a dent on it, and a set of 68 HP
valve cover same price. I also bought several rolls of that silver heat backed car insulation, the show
price was better than I have seen anywhere with glue as well. The sunburn was good to   ;D

I heard about those '68s for sale from a friend who was at my dad's memorial service today. Sounded like the prices were pretty good on them, and one was an R/T?? Any rust or were they pretty clean?

There was no R/T car there, there was a 383 car with a 440, it was pretty rusty in the rear and painted flat black.
One red 383 car was pretty strait not to much rust,  but not worth 22k in my eyes that's for sure.

I wheeled more from the parking spot to the swap meet than I did inside.  I'm done shopping anyways.
It seems all I ever used to buy was a good buzz.  I would go in there with a pocket full of money and only buy beer.  :icon_smile_dead:

My new barrel blaster will be fun tho, when it gets here that is.

If I would have known you were going Dan, I would have tagged along.  At least I could have hooked my chair up to yours for a free ride anyways.  :P
