Sorry if this has already been asked, I looked but could not find any advice.  Anyways what is the best and easiest way to reinstall this darn thing.  I got the left hand side hooked up by reaching in from behind, but then broke off one of the guage studs trying to do the other side.  Can the stud be resoddered (sp?) some how?  I thought it would be easy to put in, but Iam having a heck of a time.  Any advice PLEASE. Thanks in advance.

If you are talking about the circuit board pegs, some people have used a very small screw from the back side.
I have always sent mine in to be fixed.

You can replace the broken stud with a 3mm machine screw and nut.   You'll probably have to grind down the head of the screw a little so it doesn't touch the cluster housing

It's not a midlife crisis, it's my second adolescence.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Thats a nifty idea!  Just make sure the nuts dont touch each other as well....

When I put mine in I start connecting and plugging things in from the right (passenger) side and work my way over to the left. It seems there is just enough length in the wire to do this from above without having the cluster completely in the dash. I think the only thing that I have to go under the dash to hook up is the speedometer cable.

I'm writing you in hopes that you'll remember if there was a certain color wire that plugged into the back of the Tic Toc Tach?  I have plugged in the gray wire connector into the matching connector called the clock connector, but is there a female connector that snaps onto an all male "L" shaped thingy held with a brass nut on the back of the tach???

Thanks

My car only has the clock, which takes a gray wire. But I looked at my wiring diagram and it shows two posts for the tachometer. One post takes a dark blue wire the other a tan wire.
