Need help identifying oil breather to valve cover hose on the #88

Please look closely.

This original 88 Daytona hose appears to be vinyl, metal wire wound.
Has many longitudinal reinforcements that wind around the hose slightly.
(see the pics)

Light gray in color. May have aged.  (The original, back in the day photo appears white. )

Inside is flat and 1.5" in diameter.  It slides right over the valve cover oil breather fitting.
Note the marks left from a worm drive hose clamp. 

Thanks for any input.  Once I get the source figured out, another search begins for 2-3 feet of hose!

When I was a kid, the guy that had the local septic service used that stuff for pumping out the outhouses in the national park campgrounds.

Take a look at http://www.grainger.com in vacuum / suction hoses maybe?

The vintage vacuum cleaner hoses I have been following up on are 1.25 i.d. !!!!   

None were flat inside, either.

Looks like the hose from our old swimming pool filter system.  That was inthe 60s early 70s

My guess would be something used in aviation. I've seen lines like this and they are tough. withstands heat pressure and oil resistant that wont swell. check with someone from Gates.

first thoughts like what the other guys said    , vacuum cleaner / shop vac hose  , or swimming pool , or  may be a park fountain / water feature water supply  hose    , waste  water pipe in a RV/motorhome    thinking , !  would     all these ,   be suitable for under hood temperatures ,

Since the guys like Bill Wright that worked on and with the car came from the Chrysler Space Division in Huntsville, a NASA or aviation source is possible.

This one appears to be a little short, being used with a dual oil breather tube up that was longer and had a curve at each end.

Being from 1969 - 70, the one I found has held up very well.

The ones that look close are 1.25" in diameter.  I need 1.5 to fit right over the oil breather fitting on the valve cover.

I had a buddy see this thread and he thinks it could be a marine source, possibly for a bilge or waste management (holding tank)
I am going to try vintage boat resto shops.  I need vintage pieces, not anything new. (unless it's NOS)
