Ok, got these off a 69 charger and just wondering if they can be rebuilt - basically a new spring and polish the end - or should I toss them in the garbage and look for a done set.  Also, is the blade the original blade?  The part that slides on is stainless with those two screws.  Wondering if that was original???  I'm just looking to have the correct arms (which these are 15B) and the correct blades.  Any help advice would be appreciated.

The arms are original, 15" both should be....the blades are not, they should be same color as the arms, painted silver

The splines on the inside of the cup are of primary concern. As are the splines on the part of the pivot that stick up through the cowl. Blade assembly can be gotten for cheap as they are reproduced. Auto Zone/Advance can get them, about 6 bucks each. I've done a hack taking a new universal arm and reusing the the end of the original arm on it to end up with a new cup/arm bottom and spring that looks very close but works like new.

Splines all look good.  Anybody have a picture of what the correct blades should look like?

I got the Trico Classic blades (link above) and cleaned the arms with 0000 steel wool. Some people say you shouldn't buff them that way but I don't know how else you're supposed to make them look nice. Mine looked great with a slight semi gloss finish when I got done and if they're supposed to have a dull finish I figure they will have that soon enough from normal use.

As for the spring, I wouldn't mess with it unless it's broken. I didn't even look inside mine to see what shape it was in. Didn't even consider trying.

Read all the posts and I'm going to check on some new ones.  I'll take what I have for comparison on the arms.  Hopefully the finish is close.  I saw the 33-150 but then someone said it may be the 43 series?? This is where I get confused - one person says one thing and someone says another - so should I be looking at the 33 or 43, or, doesn't it matter??
