As for the 68' I thought there was something about metal when it's in a fire it gets warped or something and it will never be straight?

Any body shell getting burned that badly has basically been heat-treated.  It's not the same.  You can pound out the dents and hang new parts on it, make it look nice, etc, but if you ever wreck it there's telling how it's going to bend.

That '68 would make a good body shell donor for a tube chassis race car.  Pick it up for a song and you've got most of a body to use, as long as the panels are just along for the ride and you don't mind some bondo.

That '73 might donate an axlehousing or something.
The front bumper might be rechromable.  It's heavy enough that some metallurgy change wouldn't be a big deal.

Doesn't the metal become brittle after fires like those?   MY opinion is they are worthless.  Not even worth scrap metal.

its all down to how hot the metal has got  , that cuda ,  would be classed  light burn damage / heat damage  , looking at the video , roofs not even distorted  :Twocents:

Agreed, the Cuda's damage appears much less severe.

It looks like it was a black car beforehand.  A lot of that exterior is probably less charred than it looks.

Would the engines be damaged beyond repair in those chargers?
