R.I.P. Lemmy.... He just found out on the 26th has had a very aggressive form of cancer. One of the true founders of Heavy Metal is sadly gone... He was 70.

He "found out on the 26th"?

They figured out he had cancer the day before he died of it?

TruckDriver

Yes. I hear that a few times now already. At least he didn't suffer.

And I thought Easy-E (1980s-90s rapper) went fast.

In about 1995 he went into the hospital with a bad flu.  After some tests they informed him that he was in the late stages of dying from AIDS.  He hadn't even known he had HIV before then.  He died a few weeks later.

I dont even know what to say, his music helped me not beat the shit out of people i hated atleast once a week  :rotz:

On the other hand, I'm sure his music might've helped some people beat the s@@t out of others...

It reminds me of Freddie Mercury publicly announcing he had AIDS the day before he died.

Lemmy's manager said that upon hearing the news, Lemmy just sank. His spirit was vanquished. I would not be shocked to hear he ended things on his own terms..but right now they are making it sound like he just died.

But if the way it is being presented is the truth, it still is obvious he has had something going on. He has looked very gaunt in recent times and he has barely made it through shows lately. They have even cut some short and canceled many due to his poor health.

I've been in ST pits for years and years. Rollins and the boys, FEAR at a strip club, etc..
I will say, that Motorhead was one rowdy mutha.
