An Australian sheep rancher couldn't figure out why his livestock kept disappearing.

So he put up an electric fence and this is what he found.

Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

terrible one

WOW!  :o That is one big snake. That electric fence must have hurt.

Bandit72

hate it when that happens....

:icon_smile_cool: later
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

squeakfinder

Looks like it just fed.

I would venture to guess its either an Anaconda or a Burmese Python...

                      OMG!  :o

SeattleCharger

Looks like a person could fit in that snake's stomach.

That is a heck of a fence, three of them in a row, guess that rancher was serious.   Must have slowly fried the snake as it got wrapped up in it, shouldn't be powerful enough to kill instantly, looks like the snake was going through and turned around when getting shocked, must have hurt!

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

squeakfinder

I'm no expert on snakes. A friend of mine emailed the pictures to me. They got some strange (and large) creatures down under. I'm guessing Anaconda assuming its indigenous to Australia.

Any word as to the weight?.. looks about as big as a Man!.. i see them long 20 footers in the Amazon and Asia but this is sure scary!..

moparguy01

those pics look alittle funny to me. Anybody know anyone big on snakes they could ask about it? im skeptical on wether its real right now cause where its head is on the second pic looks alittle fake to me.

Geordie

I think the head on the second pic looks fake too. If not though, that's one hell of a snake.

74-StreetMachine

Watch me turn beer into pee for $5.

Troy

So the pics are real but the rest is made up. It's an African Rock Python and, amazingly enough, was found in Africa. If you follow the links all the way to the site where the pics were originally taken you can see what it looks like after they cut it open. Kinda gross...

Telvis

It looks pretty big to me. I wouldn't want to find that in my back yard.

Anaconda's are only found in South America in the wild, near rivers and other waterways.  Australia would be too dry for one, I believe, since they spend most of their time in the water.

Is that a whole sheep in that snake's stomach in the cut open pic?

Maybe Anaconda's like a jungle type climate, or the Amazon type rain forest/jungle.

It's a baby gazelle that was just eaten whole.

Here's a funnel-web spider that was just sitting in the middle of my friend's kitchen floor, I put a glass bowl over it and took a couple pics of it.

Hand in second pic is in proportion, looked up the thing on the internet, they can attack and cause a lot of damage if they are provoked.

Chances are if that happens, it'll run from you.  They tend to shy away from humans.

Why aren't there any burns in the snake's mouth?  Or would that not happen?

Those aren't the small wire ones my grandma had on her farm and when you're holding your cousin's hand and he touches it...
I never have got him back for that one.

The snakes mouth is not on the electrified part of the fence.  If you look on the picture that shows the whole snake you can see where the single wire with the white ceramic insulator is touching the snake.  That is the electric wire.

Something is wrong with me.. I seriously hate snakes, and I still had to click on this thread.. :-/ I would panic so hard I'd probably die if I saw that thing in person.. Good thing about Denmark we only have 2 kinds of snakes, both relatively harmless and small.. And best of all, they're rare..

Oh we have big snakes down here, just not quite THAT big.
We also have deadly spiders, sharks, crocodiles and jellyfish that'll rattle your socks.
And oh yeah, we have those baby eating dingos too.
I love this place.
Gotta love a '69
