hi
i have a cast date 1967 440 hp motor. it could of come from a late 67 or early 68 car. it has no vin #'s. i know they didn't stamp them on them back then. it's missing the intake. i want to complete it , by buying an intake manifold from ebay. if this motor was in an early 68 car would it have a 68 dated intake or a 67. same as the cast date. thanks Rene
I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Rene,

The intake manifold part/casting number was the same for 1967-69, so the only difference would be the casting date.

You can tell what model that engine block came from by looking at the ID pad by the distributor.  If it was for a '67, it will have C440 stamped - and D440 if it was installed in a '68 model year car.  The numbers in the lower left corner of that pad are the month and day the engine was actually assembled.  As a general rule, the casting date for the intake is around 1-2 months prior to the assembly date (not the casting date) of the motor.

That should get you enough info to search for an intake.
