ok new bloody issue,'
the auto with rmvb,, its a firm shift to 1st to 2nd, but 2nd to 3rd is soft, and it slips in reverse, its like as if the band or clutch  is cutting in and out,, not holding pressure in that line,??,, what should I check for,, what can I check with the pan off,,

do ya  reckon its got something to do with the reverse servo not holding line pressure??? I am not very familiar at all with autos,
when all you own is a hammer, every job  resembles a nail.

The front clutch is used in both 3rd and Reverse; either the clutches are severely worn or there is a pressure loss due to worn seals or sealing rings. You could pull the valve body and perform an air test of the front clutch but the trans is probably gonna have to come out.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
