Jim, you have the expert eye.  What did you see that had been worked on?

What I have found over the years is that mileage means nothing. Well.... the engine was messed with paint-wise, and not nicely. And someone put the incorrect valve cover markings back on....we told the Mecum rep that so that's probably fixed now. The entire underside was blacked out.....that's near impossible to correct......and didn't love the look of the vin tag rivets on the dash...they may have been out for paint work on the dash possibly.

Still - it is what it is.....A good car all around

I think it is a very cool car.

As a wing car owner for decades, what interests me most about it is the contrast between the lacquer paint and acrylic enamel paint on the exterior. Plus the details the car shows as to the assembly of the special package parts. If I was going over it for reference and taking pictures that is where I would be looking. I'd also be taking pictures of the inside fender/inside nose details, there shouldn't be a lot of road dirt there.

It would be nice if everything else were perfect, but there is always going to be a car with a better engine, or a better this or that.

Kind of a stripper car actually, no tach, 440+4, bench seats (I love the white).

The interior details are another thing which is nice to see with the white. I learned a lot about white bucket interiors from looking at the Werst/Tosten/Jennings car. This car would be nice to see all the interior white bench details.

GOTWING

radio delete  :yesnod: the auction states "rare column shift" how can it be rare when that was "standard" no tach as well , a base bird white interior is the only thing I would say could be "rare" and of course the miles etc etc. :coolgleamA:
