Ok, I've been surfing the web looking into this.  There's a lot of BS out there.  Anyone here about the possibility of a 7/8 scaled Challenger being called a Cuda making it to production?

JB400

It's supposed to be the replacement for the Avenger, and introduced only as a convertible.

I've never heard a piece of modern 'Cuda news that didn't sound like either BS, wishful thinking, or misinterpreting.

I just don't see it happening.

The general public doesn't recognize vintage 'Cudas like they do some other muscle cars.  How many 23yo college grads today even remember that Plymouth was once a car brand?  They were in gradeschool when the brand died.  The last time Plymouth was any more than a cheaper badge on a Neon was when their parents were young.

And the Cuda name won't test nearly as well as 'Charger' or 'Challenger' or 'Dart' without that awareness of the vintage ones.  Nobody in the industry names a small car after an ugly predatory animal these days.

one of my local dealers announced a 2016 cuda convertible on several of their radio ads.. im still not convinced though  :scratchchin:

It did sound like wishful thinking and BS.

If it only comes out as a convertible, is it going to be another odd ball car like the crossfire or prowler with a short lifespan?

This story has been around for at least 5 years.  Probably not going to happen.

The Charger and Challenger have been obvious successes but a Cuda would have to be as good or better styling wise to compete.  Would there be and is there room in the market for one?    :shruggy:
I'm still confused with the Dart.  My brother has one and so far seems to be a great little car.

They will all associate Barracuda with networks administration and security systems and 'Cuda will be Nvidia parallel computing architecture. Google either name and these two will be within the first three listings.

Oh, you mean it was a car once. Uhhh, okay.
