hey guys i don't really know where to find this info but was wondering if there was a place that listed the productions numbers for a 69 sport satellite. a guy close to me has one and my coworker is getting me pics to look at it for a potential purchase. he claims there was only 368 or so of these made. not sure what options it has besides power steering and ac and a console car. i pretty sure they made a lot more than 368 satellites. he stated its just like the roadrunner but called a satellite, which i know its the same body just different package. is there i way i can track these numbers down. i hope to get the pics next week or go see it in person but i want to be able to have a dollar number in my head on what to offer if it is limited number made. i believe it to be a complete car but will need truck pan and not sure what else. thanks
I also asked this on for b bodies only also

with the Road Runner reference it's probably a 383 4bbl car (330hp - "turquoise engine" or 335hp - "orange HP engine" depending on transmission and/or A/C)

per GG's "white book"

US spec. 1969 Sport Satellite 2 dr hardtop (RP23): 13,822 cars (318 2bbl / 383 2bbl / 383 4bbl)
383 4bbl auto ~ 940
383 4bbl 4-spd ~ 401

lukedukem

I think your right about the 383 in it, but need to go see it. But not sure where he's getting that number. Where did you find those numbers at 6bblgt

I agree.
People have the notion that by breaking down all the options, their car becomes more desireable and more rare.
Of all the 1969 Satellites, this one is the only 383-2 with a 727, 3.23 gear with Sure Grip, Disc brakes, 3 speed wipers, vinyl roof, light group, electric dog polisher,
spare tire delete, am-reel to reel radio, passenger side headrest only, 42" radiator car with a block heater sold in Arizona.

lukedukem

so you guys don't think its worth 6500, what is a good number.

could bee worth all that.   depends on what it looks like in person.has some good options an interior color an condition a big plus to some. up to you in the end, wood try for $5000 if little to no rust an guts not all sun cooked out of it an low rust a biggy?  56,000 miles sound good to me.

except wheels an paint sure not hacked ,does not look to ever been a kids car.  twin mirrors,ac,buckets, auto an console all a plus.. i wood paint different color an a 4 barrel an pipe an enjoy... DJ  :Twocents: :2thumbs:

i look at one 318 4spd added an rusty rear all in green ,guy wanted $7500.bout year ago,had new tires an mags?

DixieRestoParts

I think you could find a real RR in the same shape for the same money. Just remember, it'll always be a Sport Satellite and that will impact resale value if you ever decide to sell. I'm not turning my nose up at it, it'd be cool to fix up and enjoy like any Mopar. Just be aware that it's not a muscle car, it's a big block 2bbl mid size sedan. Yes, you can hop it up, but still not a muscle car.

lol.

I agree i think you could find a rusty RR for less/equal. $3000 put a stroker in it and drive as is.

Thats how much i paid for my [not Sport] Satellite about 3 years ago, and it was in far better shape.

Yes, I know, Sports are slightly more desireable...but not THAT much more desireable.

Im with the $3-4k crowd on this one

I see a few things I could use there. :scope:

I'd pay $2000...

And then part it out. :hack:

I've seen a lot worse for a lot more. what would you do with the car?

I was gonna restore back to original, but now I'm just gonna help him put a value on it.
I realize he would have to find a die hard sport satellite fan to get the most out of it.
But they didn't make to many sport satellites

Figure out how much it's going to take to restore it.  Subtract that from what it's worth.
Then decide how much you are willing to lose.   That will help figure out what it's worth to YOU.

IMO, running and driving doesn't mean much if you are planning a full resoration.
