Anyone else having this problem? (Finding parts)

Just trying to find out if anyone else is or has had the same problem I'm having. I have a 72 Dart Swinger. I've been looking for some trim clips, that hold the chrome molding, that is just under the sale panels. Had to remove them, to paint the roof.  I was very careful, when I removed them, but, all but one totally disintegrated. (Dry rotted nylon)

And yes, I have posted this on a few sites, with pictures of the clips, to no avail.  I know there are a lot of A-B-E rigs, out there.

I've tried Tony's, RT Specialties and some auto body supply sites, that sell nothing but trim clips.  Nothing.

So has anyone else run into this problem?  And how did you solve putting the trim back on?

And no, I am not a body guy.  This is the first rig I've painted since the 70s.

Thanks for any help.

Been on here a long time.  But thanks.
Never heard of MrGs.  They have a web site?  Goggled it, only found references to it on other threads

What I'm asking here, has anyone one else run into this problem?  And how did you attach moldings without the proper clips?
Thanks

The part number you are looking for is 6002192.  That may aid you in your search.
6003147 is very very close and I found that many places.
And what we do is generally look at car shows/swap meets as there are many vendors who have old and/or used clips. I know I have seen them in the past.
Many places carry clips and the search is sometime tedious but if you need it, you need it.

Where did you get that number? Found the second number at northland.  Not quit there, but close.  Nothing on the first number.
Thanks for the input.

Any input on how I might attach the molding, if I can't find the proper clips?
