V5X - Body Side Molding - Black
V8W - Transverse stripes - White (Can you have this and V5X together? )
EN2 - End of codes
Then second last line
C4X Is it C4XW?? - That is your Interior trim code
501 Scheduled Production Date - May 1 ....I guess 1972
520795 - Vehicle Order Number (from dealership)

I have been wrenching for near 40 years now and I have seen this many times...  If the problem occurs and it acts like you just turned the key off and they the engine comes back on again and acts like it has a governor you want to take a close look at the inside of the distributor.  What can happen is the vacuum advance will start to operate and can either cause a ground wire, a points wire or a pick-up coil wire to go open and when the vacuum advance stops operating the connection can close again and things will operate again.  The simplest way to test this is to unplug the vacuum line from the advance unit and plug it.  If the problem goes away you found the problem.  If this does not help you'll need to post a lot more detail about the condition.  Does it happen at light throttle, heavy throttle, is it rpm sensitive no matter the throttle position.  The more info you give the batter chance you have of getting help over a forum.  Let me know how it works out.

C4XW = Interior trim level and type of seat. The seat (C4) is the optional vinyl spilt-back bench seat with folding arm rest. The XW tells you the color combination or black (X) and white (W)

V5X = vinyl side molding.
V8W = standard with 340 lower deck (between the tail lights) stripe in white.

Yes, you can have V5 and V8 on the same car.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Hey 69.

So to be sure factory options is black transverse stripe with 340 call out and between tail lights is white 340 is the tail light option like a decal  "duster 340" or something.

Couple of questions about the above plate {the car is on it's way to Aus}

What was the factory diff.Do I have to wait for the car to arrive.

As its a 72 build is the 340 rated at 240 HP from the factory and if so where did the 35 extra ponies go was it just a smoother cam in 72.

Advertised horsepower ratings changed from gross to net between the 1971 and 1972 model years:

QuoteAll horsepower ratings before 1970 are gross measurements (without accessories and such). Ratings after 1971 are net measurements and are lower even for the identical engine. http://www.allpar.com/mopar/318.html
