For a '69?  :shruggy: Maybe correct date coded engine parts for a /6?

And also a good cheese that will grate properly and evenly on that split in the front.

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Well for me right now it would have to be a 22" 053 radiator for my car.  Also, A pillar moldings that dont have cracks or the tabs broken off where it goes under the headliner molding.

But I do agree, the hardest part to find is always the one you are needing.

I don't see 1968-9 hood mounted signal delete plates up for sale that often. If someone wanted a set, they would be harder to find than anything listed above. Radio delete plates are also tough to find.

What color door pads are the hardest to come by?

Well, for me it's the white 68 pads. For most other people it would probably be burnt orange.

I think someone already mentioned this but... the bottom door panels are reproduced so they are incredibly easy to find. As a matter of fact, if you look in the General Discussion section at the top you'll see a stickied thread for a group buy at Dante's and he carries them. Can't be any easier to find than that unless you lived across the street from Legendary.

That fact does not make them "hard to find". FYI - Nice original door panels will probably cost more than the reproductions.

Me and my dad have been looking for bottom ones since we got the car in 98 and we looked for any price and we couldnt find even one! but now I know that Dante's carries them for 69 bucks each. :icon_smile_cool:

I don't know how true this is but I just thought about it the other day while filling up...the gas cap lock. We have had a number of people say that they are hard to find, near impossible is what they have said. (We have ours still so I don't really know how hard it is to find)

ChargerBill

Here are a few that I had (or still have) problems with:

1) Radio delete plate
2) Gas filler lock
3) upper door pads
4) Tailpan eyebrow chromed pot-metal that isn't pitted or cracked
5) chrome thumbwheel
6) redline dogdish caps
7) rear defrost unit
8) AC heater core (ditched the AC idea a while ago)
9) Tic Toc Tac (for a REASONABLE price)
10) time to work on it....

How about those goofy screws that hold the flip top gas cap plate to the fender?  I've got two of the three required.

Chris (one of our three mods) has some that are close. They look the same on top but the shank is a little bigger than the originals.

For my car (early '68 383/2bbl/4spd) the items that are hardest to find are:
1. Original Carter carb - I've searched high and low for one of these but the correct one is specific to the 383/2bbl/4spd combination. I'm guessing they only made a few hundred 383/2bbl/4spd Mopars in '68
2. Inland 4spd shifters and lower boot - upper boot is reproduced
3. 4spd top plate and console lid, ie., anything worth a damn that's chrome plated pot metal, including taillights.
4. Original 2bbl air cleaner - although I did finally find one
5. 22" 4spd radiator

In general:
1. Fenders
2. Unbroken hard plastic interior parts
3. Unbroken grill bezels
4. Vacuum canisters
5. Decent drivers side arm rests
6. Original seat belts

I had a hell of a time finding the signal delete plates for the hood......I eventually found a set.....but now I can't find them in my damn garage !  The radio delte plate was a mofo too but eventually I found one......don't think I'm gonna use it though.

This ticket is only $69.00 ?  If I'd have known that I'd have been going FASTER !

Speaking of A/C heater cores, I was just looking around for new or repro a/c hoses/lines (anyone know if or where those are available ???) and came across this at classicautoair.         http://www.classicautoair.com/chrysler.asp

Looks like they are making an aftermarket dual core heater core??  This is news to me, has anyone else seen these before or used one?  It actually looks like it would fit, unlike those "correct" ebay cores that look completely wrong.  I actually lucked out a few weeks ago, my original A/C heater core checked out perfect -- best $15 I've spent so far....
