A big THANK YOU to BLK 68 R/T !! I couldn't imagine getting something so perfect from the other side of North America sight unseen. Once I confirmed that Wes indeed had a '70 cleaner (and not a '71) I didn't hesitate to tell him to go ahead and find out what postage was and paid quicker than shit through a goose to get this on it's way. Fully expecting I'd need to strip the paint, pound out dents, try to find wrinkle paint etc, to get this up to snuff. Not happening, a quick clean and it has the perfect Patina that it needs and there's barely a defect in it and it's even a true 440 cleaner with the lower stance. A pair of vacuum lines (that I'll steal off my '71) and it's as good as the car came. Already have the heat stove and pipe to make it factory correct.

Thanks Wes... great doing business with you!!

Nice  :coolgleamA: ... but being a novice at this mopar stuff, whats the difference between a 70 and 71 air cleaner?  :shruggy:

This is a '71. Breather hose wraps around to the drivers snorkel and the passenger snorkel has a rounded shaped gusset vs the straight triangle.

I am curious also...
I dont see this difference.   :shruggy:

Oh I see now.

I have the 71 style I use on my 69.  Unfortunately the hose that runs across the back hits the 2 speed wiper motor so I'll have to reroute it a bit.
These are really nice air cleaners and I'm jealous that you have the heat stove.  I'm gonna have to buy one of those high priced repros.   :eek2:

Yah... the stove cost me $175 US plus postage and taxes, the proper "hose" to attach it to the snorkel another $22 bucks. At this stage of the game there's nothing to lose, or what I keep telling myself.

Yeah that's pretty much what I budgeted...and what I keep telling myself.

I want it though, no just to make it complete but I can use it when I drive on freezing days.

Glad it made it to you in the same condition as when it left here  and it has a home now on your beautiful superbird instead of collecting dust in my shop :2thumbs:

Thanks again Wes!! A bit of Spray Nine today and a few small bare spots touched up with flat black. Like a kid in a candy store here!   :yesnod:
