My heater core is leaking. Pulled it out, matched it up with the heater core I got from O'Reilly's and the top tabs line up, but the bottom tabs are off about a tab-width. The O'Reilly's core doesn't fit.

Any suggestions for a make and model for a direct replacement heater core? Car is is 1968 Charger, 440, no-AC.

Thanks, Chris

No experience with a non-A/C car, but is there a NAPA auto parts near you?  It's the only chain worth a darn around the mid-Atlantic here.

Tried NAPA today. They had the same heater core with the same tab issues. Only difference is their core was $109 and O'Reilly's was $54, go figure.....

Now I'm coordinating with a local radiator shop that can either:

1. Provide me a NOS copper heater core that they have on the shelf, or
2. Re-core my, or another heater core (copper).

I'll find out more today.
