Left Turn signal

Everything works on my electrical except my left turn signal. The indacator light comes on but no flash. I may have an issue with the wire to the bulb housing but when I switch the wires up (right to left) it works fine...
I also swapped bulbs around.
It flashes if i move the signal up and down.

Thoughts?

I'd check for continuity in the suspect wire.

 what ghoste said     also  make sure the turn signal housings  have a good ground , ie shiny metal , they ground by the mounting screws  , also the two  black ground wires from the front headlamp harness , that bolts to the core support , make sure that are grounded on shiny metal too

you say the indicator lights up, so did you check the front and rear bulbs to see if they are lit up when the lever is pushed down?

Yup, bulbs are lit, just no flash. Only left side.

are they lit normally, or is one dimmer than is should be?

What about the 4 way flashers, does that work like it should and all bulbs light up like they should?

I would change out the flasher for a new one first, then go from there
