It only took me 2 months to get some pictures up, I'm getting good at this.

I had to do a lot of planning to get all the painting done after I finished welding, so the suspension stuff went on the back burner for a while.  I finally dropped off the K member and control arms at the paint stripper who tanked all the parts and e-coated them.  I could not have gotten primer on the insides of the K member with a paint gun and since every seam was welded I found this was necessary.

The price wasn't bad either.  Cleaning, de-rusting, and e-coating the K member was $75, and it was $15 for each control arm.  All I  need to do to paint them is scuff them a little.  I don't know which paint to use yet so recommendations are welcome.   :2thumbs:

I would like to do the LCAs in something cosmoline looking and I found a link with some rattle can gold that looked like it but of course now I lost it.  I don't know if spray can paint will hold up but at least I have good epoxy on the metal.

I'm thinking of using a semi gloss or satin black on the K member and UCAs.

Looking good Dino!  :drool5:

Personally I would go with semi gloss or full gloss on the parts. Everything else in the engine bay is nice and shiny, so why not carry that on to the undercarriage.  :2thumbs:

Well you were right regarding the grille frame so I'll follow your advice once more.   :2thumbs:

It's funny but now that the k member is shiny, the welds look kinda funny.  They looked great in bare metal.  I guess I just never have seen shiny black welds.
