when replacing door hinge pins and bushings, do you have to drill the hinges out, or does the bushing and pin just replace the orig. ones?

IF THEY PINS ARE NOT WORN THRU THE BUSHING YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO PRESS OUT OLD BUSHING AND PRESS IN NEW ONES . IF THEY WERE AS BAD AS MINE I HAD TO WELD UP THE HOLE THEN DRILL THE HOLE SLIGHTLY SMALL THAN BUSHING SO THAT THE PIN FIT IN SNUG . ALSO MY ROLLER DETENTS WERE WORN , SO I HAD TO REMOVE THEM AND WELD THE PINS THEN GRIND THEM SMOOTH . I BOUGHT MY PINS FROM THE HELP AILE FROM PEP BOYS FOR A COUPLE OF BUCKS .   LARRY
