Pulled the trigger again...another home improvement

As some of you may have heard, been dealing with health issues, it has made me refocus a little bit on things I've let get out of hand over the years, and instead of fixing a problem, just tend to work around it.  In 2006, I had a 24x28 garage built to store my 69 charger in, clean dry storage until one day it would reawake and be driven on the street again.  Since then, I've been working on the restoration slowly but surely, and finally am reaching a point where the car must once again be started, and driven on the road again, but getting it out of the backyard...may be harder than it looks, since 2006 I shortened the 10 foot wide gate to a 6 foot wide gate, and now the charger will not fit out the gate so I cannot get the car out of the backyard storage.  No big deal, we just tear down the gate and rebuild it afterwards....nope, need a more permanent solution.
Today I signed the intent to proceed letter with a contractor who will be adding a new concrete parking pad to the right of our attached garage, it will run through where the gate sits now, and then I will be pouring a new driveway about 50 feet up to the entrance to the detached garage in the backyard.  In addition to the new concrete, we are also spending an extra 3k on refinishing the old main driveway with an overlay, which will make the drive look new again, and much better looking than an expanse of concrete with numerous cracks showing in the surface.  I can fit 8 cars on my driveway now, just a poor position and shape of the lot, wish it was shorter, would have been cheaper to fix or clean up.  Priced out new concrete

Tuesday of next week, they'll be coming out to dig out the new driveway on the side of the house, and pouring the new parking slab.  The next day they'll come out and paint a pattern on the new cement to make it match the old driveway with new overlay.  Cost? 3k for the old driveway spraycrete treatment (overlay and stamping) and 2k for the new driveway and parking spot on the side of the driveway.  At least when the charger does have to sit outside in the front yard it will have its own "special" place just for it to sit.  Maybe I'll erect a temp roof to protect it from sunlight.

I've been wanting a new parking pad on the house now for almost 20 years, when we had kids with extra cars we parked one there and just killed grass, but never got around to having concrete poured.  If the wife decides she doesn't want to stay in the house and sell it off  in the future, I'm thinking the extra parking pad and driveway will be great for a boat owner or RV owner that wants to park behind a fence.

I've also got estimates done for a new landscaping job of the yard, once the driveways are finished.  The house should have a totally different look in just a few weeks.

I'm gonna feel real stupid if I do this, and then later change my mind and sell off the charger just to go buy a hellcat.  Don't need the driveway or garage if I don't have the charger, at least it will look good.

When I saw the title of this topic, I thought you might have kicked your family out of the house.
I seem to recall you complaining about them a bit.
