:shruggy:I have a 68 big block with manual steering. I need to convert over to power steering. What vehicles should I be looking for? Is the steering columns shafts the same length between manual & power? A ad near me has a pump and steering gear off a 69 GTX. Will that work?  What a fair price for used pieces that need to be rebuilt?

I'm new to the forum, so be patient with me.
Thanks a lot ahead of time.

Dino

Welcome!

The GTX parts will work.  The column is different between power and manual I believe.  Different lengths.  I'm not going to be of much more help I'm afraid, I have no clue on cost either so hopefully someone else will chime in soon.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Hard Charger

parts off another B body should work fine.

Box's are available about $250 rebuilt
box did not have a valve. I paid $20 but they are available new again
pump hose $30
reman pump about $90
pulleys for the crank and pump are out there. forget what I paid at swap meets.
belt $6 on Rock Auto
