Green interior brainstorm

My recently acquired 70 charger 500 has a very nice original dark green interior.
The exterior is and was originally white. It will need some body work and paint soon.  I'm not crazy about the white, but maybe it's OK, a tail stripe (green?) might break it up a bit.

Just trying to think what else could really go with a dark green interior, besides, um.... dark green. (which is OK too)

Any other color ideas? I'm not opposed to a groovy throwback 70's look...like I guess it sort of is now.  :scratchchin:

I think the white with a green stripe is kind of an interesting idea.  Would you want a green gator grain top with that?

crj1968

It's a non vinyl top car, but I could live with a gator top. But I'll probably keep it as is without vinyl which sort of ads to the non break up of white

I think that gator top would look awesome!  But if it's an original hardtop by all means I'd leave that way.

Even with the factory options, I've never seen one restored in that combo.  When ef8 is done right I think it looks beautiful but I think white will look even better?   :shruggy:

Or you could paint it purple with a black int/top/stripe.  More than likely that color combination is highest.  And no, I'm not bragging... ;)
Go to a Mopar car show & I can almost guarantee you'll see a purple one done up.  You can't say the same about a white/green int./stripe.  Yeah, people will say there's reasoning but come one, it's a Mopar.  Anything's possible!

I love the way your car looks.   :drool5: ..and purple is a mopar win every time.

The thing is money IS an object, especially after just purchasing the car, and the interior is just so nice as it is, so changing it just can't happen at the moment. (I've got lots of other seemingly gold plated parts to dig up...)

I guess the question should be; How to break up 800sq ft of white paint, while sporting a green interior?

You could put the 70 R/T pinstripe on it instead of the bumble bee stripe.

Dino

Add a black top to it and you have my car.  It wasn't like that originally though, it was F8 in and out with a white top.  I say add the stripe and the V21 hood treatment.

not a big fan of black but black exterior and green trim would  match that's my 2 cents

Ghoste

There was a white car out there with a blue interior and blue stripe making the rounds at shows a couple of years, that might give a good idea of appearance.  I'll look for photos.

green interior & white  , would look good  imo    a black top would look good too  :yesnod:   & V21  :scratchchin:

Thanks all.  :2thumbs:  I think I will wrap the tail in green and see how it looks.

That isn't the specific one I was thinking of (I think it was a Coronet, 70 RT maybe??) but that gives the same effect.  Looks pretty good to me.

This looks really good.

No, that looks VERY good.

Personally, I'd keep the white exterior & ditch the green interior.

Dino

Thi is exactly how I want to redo mine.  Change the green interior to black leather.  I'll keep the back top until I can repaint the car though.
