Not sure if I ever posted pics of my Hang 10. I wonder if I even mentioned it? ??? I know it's no Charger, but anyway, here it is. It's a 17K survivor. Original everything. I had to wake it up a bit and change the wheels (the original tires were still on the car). I would show you engine pics, but they are fugly. The car was "Quaker Coated" at the dealer, which is a rust preventer. They sprayed it everywhere. The car is originally from Michigan, and the dealer is still open. I included a pic of it. Excuse the water on the ground. We got 2 inches of snow this morning, but it melted away. Hope you likey.  :yesnod:

Cool car Chris!  I love the interior and just how clean that car is.  :icon_smile_cool:  The red looks really eye catching with the white console.

Definitely like the Rallye wheels better than those ugly caps.   :yesnod:  More pics!

DCGuy, say what you will, but park this car next to a high dollar Mopar, and watch the response. Sure it's not the boring black or white interior, but that's what makes it something to talk about. Also, the red carpet is Shag-A-Licious.  :icon_smile_wink:

It has a 318 in it.

Sweet Chris - nice to see a survivor. I hope and I guess I know that you have safely stored away the original rubber for future reference? Sure you did. And the last of the in-your-face graphic era. So I take it you are going to hold onto this one.
And you are correct. Park it next to the 14 1970 hemicuda ragtops, 12 1971 versions, 400 Gibson restored purple Bs or Es and see who gets the most looks Congrats!

that thing is SWEEET!!!!  have not seen too many pics of those around.

Hi Issac, I have always meant to ask you about that car.  I've noticed your mention of it in your signature line but never got around to asking.

I am assuming - Hang 10 - as in the clothing line from the mid '70's with the two footprints side-by-side- correct?  Is that logo in that groovy interior?

Don't forget to register her!  :yesnod:

Thanks for the pics.

BTW, we had a Jeep in the family way back when that had Levi's seats.

I wasn't knocking the car. The car is nice. It's cool to see a original survivor. But the carpet is just over the top for me. Sorry if it came off wrong.

Shakey, this car had no affiliation with any other company. Chrysler did it on it's own. In fact, I'll bet the surfer crowd back then laughed at this car.  :yesnod:

That letter you posted is from Rick Melms. I know Rick pretty well. He started the registry from the documents that I had when I owned my old 10. Rick will only register cars that are owned by someone, which is kind of lame because there have been some on eBay and other places for sale. I actually have more on file than he does.

DCGuy, I didn't mean to come off as insulted. It's a cool car, but not for everyone. Like 6pk said though, it certainly stands out at shows next to all the so called heavyweights.

NYCMille

Really cool car and rare too - nicest one I've ever seen - be proud man, be proud. ;D

That car's still a beauty, Man! I agree with the rim swap too...much better. :yesnod:

I find it interesting that for how wild the interior is done, that they didn't make it more flashy on the outside too. Maybe Ma was all done trying to be wild & flashy on the outside by then, hmm?

How many miles are you gonna put on her this year?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I found a hang 10 in an oklahoma junkyard picked a part really really good!  kinda saddened me.  The person who picked it apart is/was on this board to tell you the truth.

Those are very eye catching as well as the mod top cars.  I would love to get a mod top, but that is a little far down on my wish list.

Nice car Chris, I was wondering about when you got it since I saw mention of it earlier. I always like the Duster, Demon & Dart Sport bodies, but the beak in the front on '73 & up doesn't quite fit. I had a 1976 Dart Sport with the same nose & sold it to paint my Scamp. Wish I kept it though, it had a HD rally suspension, disc brales, buckets & a floor shift 4 speed (OD) & no rust. It was a slant 6 car too.

I woke the pictures up a little bit for you guys. Plus here's a few more pics of the stuff I have for it. I also have original registration, warranty card, insurance card, etc.  I have no idea who's cat that is.

What is the hang loose thing for?  Key chain?  Antennae topper?  ???

Looks cool though!   :icon_smile_cool:

I found this on the inside of my rear passengers side upper door pad in my 68 Charger. It says:

Here is my handle, here is my spout
When you tip me over to pour me out
Sock it to me baby, let it all hang out

Nupe, I selected 4 attachments, so I filled the fourth one with that pic. It's just a antenna thingy. No history behind it. ;)

Chris, dang that cat looks identical. Did you purchase it in Michigan? BTW, you look short in the pic with the cat. I thought you were taller. ;D

89Mopar, what town did you see that Hang 10?

89MOPAR

It is in Port Orchard , Washington.   I have seen it on the street driving and at the drags - I think the wife took it down the 1/4 mile.
Can't remember the ET exactly though. I think it ran in the high14's / low 15's - kind of what i expected it to run.
It was/ is an L-code 360 car.   Cannot remember if it was "convertriple" or not.

Nah Strat, a 17K mile survivor gets better than the daily driver label stuck to it.  :icon_smile_wink:
