Did I mount these horns correctly?

I looked all over but can't find a real clear picture and I don't think I had them on correctly before I redid them.

That's how the horns on my 70 have always been. Looks good to me Dino.

Dan, is it from car? I know I borrowed it from someone, but couldn't remember.

Why 2 horns? I know hi note and low note but did they really need 2?

In case one fails.

It could be the picture but it looks like the top horn is aimed straight down whereas mine is angled more.  Which should it be?

Both horns are necessary, my car sounded like a smart car when the low note went out.

Do you have some pictures to compare?

Only the one I posted but I'll get some more tomorrow.  I'll replicate the angle your pic was taken at.   :yesnod:

Here's another picture of the first horns from the top.

Alright that's definitely pointing straight down.   :yesnod:

Thanks Nut!

My 67 is the same way.  I believe the rad support is the same.
The guide holes will only let you mount them one way anyway.  :2thumbs:

Dino

Yes the brackets can only go one way, but I'm wondering about the horn's position in relationship to the bracket.  I know they're supposed to be aimed down but I thought the horn part was at an angle to the bracket like I have in my pic.  The one Nut posted has the top horn at a 90 degree angle to the bracket.   :yesnod:

Other than to be cleaned (which it looks like I've never done here) these have never been off.

Dino

The camera battery drained again.  It's old, I think it's dying.

Looking at Bob's and the silver car, those horns are at an angle like mine.  I guess it could've gone either way at the factory, as long as they were pointed down so no debris would get in it.  I'll leave mine as they are.   :yesnod:

Thaks guys.

Dino, what are you doing?  Engine bay restoration?

Dino

Yes sir  :yesnod:

It started with pulling the engine and trans since I want to do some work on them, but after looking it over it was clear that everything under the hood was in need of repair.

I have tons of pictures so I'll see if I can start my own thread to keep all my stuff in.

That was as far as my restoration skills took me.  I restored about 4-5 engine bays.

A nice, freshly painted bay really sets a car off.   :2thumbs:

Dino

I agree!  The bay looks better than the rest of the car though.
