talkiemopar

Don't think one is more common than the other, seen a" lot" of both.

Maybe ! ;D

The majority of Superbirds came with 14" wheels & tires when NEW.
The new for 1970 15x7.0" wheels and F60-15 Polyglas GT tires were OPTIONED on less than 6% of '70 Road Runners (~2250 of 38,800+ total built).

GG's 1970 US spec. Road Runner F60-15 (U84) numbers:
RM21 coupes ~ 399 (2.7%)
RM23 hardtops ~ 1823 (7.8%)
RM27 convertibles ~ 21 (3.2%)

even "if" F60-15s were 3x more popular (25%) on Superbirds than all other Road Runner hardtops, that would account for ~500 of the 15" cars  :scratchchin:

WAG  :shruggy: "road Wheels" & F70-14s w/RWL was the most common wheel/tire combination on a Superbird when NEW, and the rarest ..... 15x7" body color wheels w/hub caps & F60-15s w/RWL tires.  :Twocents:

From pictures of dealerships and lots back in the 1968-71 period, what is also apparent is the large number of mopar muscle cars delivered with whitewalls.

1970 Performance cars (GG's U.S. spec. numbers):
F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas w/white stripe (T86) were STANDARD on the B-bodies:
Road Runner (43.7%), GTX (40.9%), Super Bee (?%), Coronet R/T (37.9%) & Charger R/T (37.4%) - * RWL no-charge

F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas w/RWL (T87) were STANDARD on the E-bodies:
'Cuda (41.6%) & Challenger R/T (72.6%) - * white stripe no-charge

White walls on a Roadrunner.  You bet - here is a picture of my 1970 the day I brought it home for the dealership - with white walls.  Wish I still had that car.
