Not much since you're basically bidding on a grille and bumper.

Damn shame, I lost my 68 in a fire, not something I got over easily.

I hope it wasn't an original pink car.

'70 had Burnt Orange as a color. It's not supposed to be burnt '70!

I wonder, being exposed to some amount of heat, would there be a single body panel like the roof and quarters be saveable? I could imagine that every flimsy panel got warped. So in the best scenario the frame rails and inner structures can be reused, but the rest?  :shruggy:
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Dino

I wouldn't even reuse the rails.  Once the metal is exposed to high heat, the structural integrity goes out the window.  The car is a goner.

A New York and Florida bidder battled it out to the end. Personally..... I don't know where the H they are going money wise on that thing.

Yeah, it's over.  The whole unibody has been through a botched uneven heat-treating process.

The scary thing is there will still be a good number of people claiming it "can be fixed" so they will fix it, & sell it to some poor bastard.

What bothers me isn't the ones who knowingly fix & flip this thing, it's the ones who don't know there is something wrong with that.

Until they take it somewhere, and cry all over the internet like our buddy Rex did with his busted/rotten Green 70 Charger
Every great legend has it's humble beginning.

Wouldnt the car still have lots of usable parts? rear end, long block, spindles control arms ect.

If it were closer I would of paid 2500 for it, worth that in parts from firewall forward and I'm sure 3rd member is fine too

adauto

In "sell" parts I figured 1500 in "quick sell" parts about a grand. At least in my area. Ya, I'm sure the diff is fine.... but I have 3 sitting already so there's really no money there. Yes theres always some trinket, but I've got others here...sitting....sitting....sitting...... :shruggy:  And yes I did look at it "hands on"

I know. That is what I thought about immediately. There are also a number of people that would buy that and attempt to fix it then drive their family around in it. That is scary too.
