I'm going to replace the leaking power steering pump on my 73 charger 400. What kinda tool do I need to get the pulley off? The original tool looks like a tie rod end puller. Would the standard pulley remover that can be rented at the parts store work? I know it works on fords.

standard PS pulley remover can be found and loaned from any auto part store...I have a Mac set here I bought years ago....

Just finished rebuilding mine and also used the loaner tools from AutoZone. Worked great!

The rebuilding process is fairly simple, however, the alignment of the dowel pin within the rotor can be tricky. Make sure she drops in the drilled index seen in the pic.
Also, grease those pins as they drop within the slots to prevent them from falling out of place.
Lastly, use care in removing and installing the bronze bushing.
