V88 vs. tail stripe

I love stripes on all other colors , except black , no stripe all the way !!!!!! I'm glad mine is a V88 , if it wasn't , I'd probably have put it that way during resto .

Black is a no stripe scenario, all others look to sweet with the stripe... Although a ghost stripe on black would be trick...

I've seen lots of X9 Black R/T's with Stripe.... or V88
But so far I haven't run across another Black, R/T with SE and V88 ?

I guess a guy will just never know ?

How's that '69 registry coming Ghoste ? my apologies, you are probably sick and tired of people asking.

I know of 2 members here that have them that way , myself and friend/member "RT/SE" has one as well . Both are triple black 69 R/T SE's , V88 . His is a 4 speed , PW , PDB car . Mine is picture of tag . His is the other (before resto).

long story short     found this car advertised forsale on a Canadian site   ,  sometime ago  ,    the pictures of it , were obviously at the current owners property etc . well thought it odd , it  had shaved door handles !       nother black R/T SE with  door handles alterations  , , was going to post it in another thread , but like I idiot forgot to short cut a link at the time  , &  did not show up in browsing history  

well   found it on youtube  , looks like a dealer is selling it now  , nothing on their web site though  , would like to see the fendertag  ,looks like a early build , no headrests !

As a HUGE fan of both the stripe and the V88 emblem, has anybody else bucked the norm and done both? I've been seriously considering it myself. Enough so that I bought the emblems (but haven't drilled any holes yet).

Just doing a quickie on what I have in the registry right now it looks to be around 7% with V88.  I need to break it down some more to get closer and then spend some time sorting through the SE cars.

So that is 7% of registered cars? is that what your saying?  If wagging and saying less than one in 10 (<10%) that feels good in my looking over the yrs (back into the late 80s...ugh starting to feel like an older young man... ), anyway stay on topic... my guess is worth "0" but feel V88 living on a 69RTSEs is maybe even 5% or a little lower is my guess fwiw.

I like V88 because they are rare for sure and odd option.  I do not dislike one of mine any less because it is burdened with a white stripe.

Yes, registered cars are what I am going by.  I kind of hate doing the statistic thing because its so easy to twist those numbers in a variety of ways.  If every single 69 Charger built was in the registry then the percentages begin to mean something but all they are is a snapshot.  You can assume but you cannot possibly know for a fact.
(so register those 69's and we'll keep compiling it  )

   I hear you and understand your position, it is just fun to surmise, speculate, wonder and never really know. 

We can talk about "survival rate" is it higher on more rare cars, lol.  I tend to want to think so fwiw, but maybe not much.

I agree 100% and love doing the extrapolate and surmise thing, I just hate when someone misunderstands and takes it as hard fact.  You see it all the time with Galen's registry, he may tell someone their car is one of four that HE KNOWS of but try and convince the guy holding that precious info he paid for that there may be hundreds more exactly like his.
