I've got a leaky fuel neck filler grommet.  Does the fuel tank have to be removed in order to replace the fuel neck filler grommet?  And suggestions on replacing the grommet would be appreciated as well.  Thank you!

You don't have to remove the entire tank but it will make it easier to install the new grommet.  That said, no harm in trying without removing the whole thing although you do need to clear the filler neck from the tank so loosen the neck at the filler cap and at the trunk floor, remove the fuel lines at the tank, put a padded jack under the tank and loosen the j bolts to lower the tank enough to get the neck out.

Toss the old grommet and put some synthetic grease such as Super Lube on the neck so it slides all the way into the new grommet.  Tighten eveyrthing back up and you're done.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Stuff a rag in the filler tube at the top, you will not want to drop a screw down the tube. :RantExplode:
