I have a few drilled holes I may want to weld shut as they don't seem to have any function.  I have encircled them.  I marked the others nearby.   Also does anyone know why there's a dimple next to the fender tag?

The two holes in the last pic seem to be a mirror image of the driver side frame rail where the holes are for the vacuum canister.  So why are there holes on the passenger side?

The 2 near the fender tag are the holes where the clips mount to for the AC line (disreguard emission sticker mounted in wrong place :rotz: )

The ones near the AC dryer mount shouldn't be there

The ones on the frame rail are speed holes ;)

Ah I forgot about the stock a/c line.  I'll get all those marked, including the speed holes, welded shut.   ;)

I forgot to post this picture, there are two small holes right above the shock tower.  Could these be for the cruise control unit?  If so I'll leave them as I do have one but I'm not installing it until I have all the parts.  If that's not it then I have no idea what they're for.

Thanks Chris!

Ya might want to leave the extra holes there to let the gremlins out.

Yes those look like the cruise servo holes.

Actually the frame rail holes are on all Charges AFAIK

Yeah I may just leave those factory holes there.  I'll just get rid of the extra ones.  The passenger inner fender has about 8 holes from the numerous coils it had over the years.  Jeff your '71 has the same holes in the passenger frame rail doesn't it?

Nope. Neither side. Vac can mounts on the inner fender below the battery.

Oh that's right, you have the improved model.   :icon_smile_big:

I've seen them on both sides on 2nd gens though but I can't figure out why they're there.  I'll have to decide by Sunday to leave them or close them up.   :yesnod:

'68 (w/ a/c) ....may be the same for '69.

What are the three holes for in front of the shock tower?

I welded up all the extras today but left the factor holes alone.  It's not like they're in the way.  The only factory hole I welded was the one for the ballast resistor.  I'm no longer using it and it was a bit mangled for some reason.

Holes are gone!

Beats me.     They exist but are vacant under my hood.

Good looking work on your bay!
