crazy prices ,  nothing wrong in taking on a project like this , if you can do all the work your self , & its just your time & cost of parts & materials etc  ,   just the price  whats been asked for these cars now , crazy     if I was 20 years younger  would take on something like this  , but would only want to pay  $1-2k ,  or next to nothing

Basically what my 70 R/t was in 2009 for $5k. Only thing missing was a 440 had a 383 in there, but what was there all needed to be replaced anyway. 25k later first shot of paint last week lol.

I dunno about 2009, but money has definitely lost half its value since the mid-2000s.



That R/T badge raises the price whether the parts are any better or not.  

You often hear the argument, "There is no reason to restore a non-R/T car when an R/T costs the same price to restore for a more valuable result."  True.  But an R/T car also costs more at the buy-in stage.  And it usually takes a pretty bad condition R/T to still be found unrestored after 45 years.
