So I bought my car in 2001. I got it out of Kansas. It's originally a 383 four barrel 4 speed. The original engine was long gone so I put a 440 in. It needed a lot of work; quarters, floor pans, wheel houses, interior, wire harnesses. I drove the car last week for the first time since 2001. It still needs all the glass and exhaust to be installed. But I had to take her for a spin. I put a '70 pistol grip set up in it. So cool!!

ALWAYS a good day when you get to go for a drive - especially for the first time.   :2thumbs:  :2thumbs:

I'am in the same boat as you, been working on my 69' for about 11 years, it was a real basket case. getting very close now...Summers go by way too fast.
What was I thinking?

Awesome feeling to drive it for the first time after getting it ready for a drive! Just think about how much you will enjoy it when you finish it!  Welcome to the forums, by the way!  Post any questions you have as you go forward with it and the experts here (certainly not me) will answer your questions.

Congrats on getting your car running and driving it for the first time in 14 years!
How about some pictures.
Good luck with the rest of the build!

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Ghoste

Congratulations on both driving it and on hanging in there for so long before you could.

Nice, isn't it? I drove mine at about 5 mph with no brakes roughly a half mile in 2004. Didn't drive it again until 2014. It goes like hell now, it stops too.
