does anyone know the last 2nd gen body that was produced, or what the serial number could be. i have a 70 charger with a serial number 254160 and door sticker of 7-70. . i can image that was the end of production for a 2nd gen. i thought they only produced 46,576.

Other B-bodies were made at the St. Louis plant in for the 1970 model year & the cars were not built in VIN sequence, so your question would be impossible to answer unless the plants actual build records surface some day.

The VINs issued do go thousands higher than the one you mentioned though.

What would likely be the last build date?  Beginning of August?

nice, so that means my date coded 7-70 means it was one of the last few stragglers off the production line in the last 10 days of production

You may want to ask on the 1970 Dodge Charger Registry site (if you have not already), as they may be able to tell you more....
