727 Valve Body Swap

I have a 1970 big block 727 trans that does not have the 3-2 part throttle kickdown. Will a valve body from a 1971-1978 (equipped with part throttle kickdown) work with this earlier trans?  Thanks.

Welcome to the board. A valve body from a '71-'73 would be a better choice or you could simply add the PTK module from an early ('67-'70) slant six or '71-later to your existing valve body.
