Removing Headers

As far as removing headers that you don't intend to reuse, what is the easiest way? Has anyone used a cutoff tool to just chop them up without having to remove suspension, jack up the engine etc? Any thoughts?

I'd be worried of metal shavings going into an open exhaust valve :o at least unbolt them first and slide in a paper barrier first.
