Take off the fresh black paint, gallons of bondo, and parts-store adhesive chrome trim.  Underneath there isn't much car left to buy.

That's a weird set of problems.  Movie cars usually are.  It's a black '70 Charger but it's definitely not a Fast & Furious car.

For a front collision so hard its funny how the A-pillars & door/vent window fit still looks perfect.  In fact that front clip may have been so patched-together that it folded up easily & took most of the hit.

The car was probably wrecked as a roller too.  Maybe cable-pulled or hit when parked.  It doesn't look like it was run with a drivetrain & human driver recently.

Its dressed like the one that was used in supernatural.. But that was a few years ago  :scratchchin:

Looks like dark metallic green to me with black spray bombed areas that were crumpled.

Good eye.

The Ebay car is not likely that exact same car (too rough.) But it might have been built as a clone of the Supernatural car.

Dodge Don

Was not in the 70 Charger Registry prior to this auction.

That car is roached. Look at the rear wheel arches from one side to the other. They are totally different contours and neither one resembles factory. Also look at the lower quarter behind the wheel on the driver's side...its about 3 inches lower than it should be.. That thing is whacked N packed....
1968 Charger R/T, matching numbers 440/727, black with green top and interior, currently getting restored by me

Some other production could have rented the Supernatural Charger more recently, and then needed a copy to wreck for their show.

Movie cars get passed around a lot.  The Supernatural appearance was just black with some shiny wheels.  Noting too unique to that show.

OK i got a reply. he said it was used on Banshee. here is a description from wiki....

"Banshee is an American action-drama television series created by Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler originally appearing on the Cinemax network beginning on January 11, 2013. Set in the small town of Banshee in Pennsylvania Amish country, the series' main character is an enigmatic ex-con (Antony Starr), who assumes the identity of Lucas Hood, the town's murdered sheriff, to hide from powerful crime lord Rabbit (Ben Cross). Imposing his own brand of justice, Hood attempts to reconcile with his former lover, Rabbit's daughter, Anastasia (Ivana Miličević), who has herself adopted an assumed identity, married, and raised a family during Hood's incarceration. Hood struggles to maintain his new identity while still embracing crime alongside his partners Job (Hoon Lee) and Sugar (Frankie Faison), and coming into conflict with local kingpin Kai Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen).

The series was developed as part of Cinemax's drive to develop original content. A 10-episode second season debuted in January 2014. Banshee was renewed for a third season that same month. In February 2015, the series was renewed for an 8-episode fourth season, which will be its last season.[1][2]"

cant find any more info on the car. when it appeared or how long it was on the show... i don't have cinemax either or I'd check into it

How about not supporting shows that destroy Chargers?

The only reason i watched bullit, dmcl, dukes of hazzard, death proof, and the remake of vanishing point was because they had chargers in them, and all of them destroyed them  :shruggy:

And if people keep watching then non-car guys will continue to put cars like Chargers in shows and destroy them for viewers/ratings.  Just quit watching unless you like seeing Chargers destroyed more than you like Chargers surviving.  Save the Chargers.   :Twocents:

The more that've been destroyed, the rarer they become  :Twocents:

If we don't support destroying a few bondo-bucket Chargers on TV now, then future generations of kids won't preserve & maintain them by the thousands.

Cutting off Hollywood's supply won't prevent all these cars from being lost, it will delay it a few years.  Many of the raggedy ones wouldn't have survived another 10 years anyway.
