Mopar Action advertisement, Giving away a Twin turbo Hellcat and a 70 440 Chall R/T.

Never knew that you could turbo a supercharger? about two weeks ago someone sent me some pics of a very expensive offshore V-bottom with a pair of 1650 HP motors, cell phone pics, not the best, however, you could make out that there was turbo's and super chargers, did not think it was possible...

Mopar Action article states that the turbo's give the super charger a 5 psi head start and advertised HP was in the 8 and change mark.

Overkill for a street car...but great to show off.

myk

At that point, wouldn't it be cheaper, easier, safer, cooler, faster just to buy an F-22 fighter jet?  Or maybe an F-15; I hear the ones with frame stress repairs are available for a discount...

I kinda have to ask....... Why

First off ,twin turbo's, a whole bunch of custom exhaust work, and some special tuning to gain less than a hundred horsepower. I'm assuming that the super charger supplied is maxed out??? If not is there any room to pulley up the original Hellcatt SC and does anyone know of anyone that has had an opportunity to take one further on the HP scale. Recently I was told that someone had put their Hellcat on a dyno and the numbers were 779 hp out of the box. And just for conversation sake, if that were even true,779HP, that is a stupid amount of work and money spent, to gain a few hp, 805hp( Hellcat X). Could you not throw a little nitrous at it, and get better results?

There are a few guys pushing the envelope with Hellcats. The most I've seen is 937WHP and the car has a different computer( re tuned for E85) American racing headers, bigger injectors, AFE cold air intake, upper and lower pullies (approx 15psi compared too 11.5psi stock)and a 50 shot of NOS.. He has gone 10.02@142MPH
The hellcat x is simply a marketing tool, much easier ways to get horsepower from a Hellcat. I think it's mostly a conversation piece that will. End up in a collection,
By simply re tuning the car and raising redline 500rpms 100hp can be found EASILY! They run pig rich from the factory.
Most dyno at 680-690 WHP stock
