I saw these advertised for big block Chryslers over the weekend.  I believe they use this type of item in current oem offerings, no?  Any thoughts on these things in our typical sort of builds?

I saw one of these under the Mancini tent at the Nats last week.  It looks like a nice piece.  The gasket itself is molded on both sides around the perimeter of the tray much like the reuseable pan gaskets for the torqueflite based transmissions.  The windage tray is composite with blunt edges, but it appeared to be a quality piece.  I plan on trying one in my next build.

Interesting...I don't even know if my engine has a windage tray.  I better check.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

I'm gonna try one of these because I'm getting tired of scraping off and replacing both gaskets every time I pull my pan, which sadly has happened way more than it should've over the last year.

Looks like they may have some sealing issues:

I have a MPP windage tray, but am kicking around the idea of going to a louvered tray now that I'm revisiting this. Anyone have any solid data on louvered trays vs non louvered? Do louvered trays perform better? I can see maybe on the dyno, but under hard acceleration is there a benefit to them?

heard lots of stuff about the MP big block windage tray , saying they don't drain back properly , hold too much oil ,   :shruggy:  &  I never even considered a MP one  , when comparing them side by side with a milodon tray  , go milodon  :Twocents:

I agree with :shruggy: part  of this response.

For 30 years the MP windage tray was the best thing since sliced bread.  They were the standard, every real HP Mopar used them.  All of a sudden, after 30 years of huge success, they became crap.
