Hello Guys,

i can buy a 1970 Charger RT Clone... can some one of you tell me how much the widest part (Mirror to mirror) in centimeters is?
I must organize the transport. I need the dimensions from the 70 RTs

Thank you

How is it going to be transported?  A Charger easily fits in a shipping container...many Chargers/cars have been going to Germany that way.

Your conversion brings back a good memory.  I moved out of the US for grad school and was teaching a class when one of the students asked me which sample was the blah blah crystal.  I decided to convert it to metric in  my head on the fly, and as I said it si the one ABOUT 7.62 centimeters, I realized there was no way I could estimate that precisely.....
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

8 feet wide? You may have a new Challenger & an old Charger confused with each other?  ;)

I would be surprised if a vintage Charger was over 6' 9'' at the widest point?

They will fit in a standard overseas shipping container just fine with room to spare though, so no worries.

Minus a passenger side mirror I can't see my 'Bee and it's "hips" being any narrower than a Charger. Room to get the door open and squeeze in behind the wheel. I'd highly suggest centering it though and getting it strapped in solid for transport as they don't handle those containers gently and with high seas you don't want a quarter panel banging on the side wall of the container.

You're right, I had my Charger's measurements mixed up with my truck. I just measured my '68 Charger and it's about 6.5 feet wide which equals 198.12 centimeters.

Thank you guys

I found it in Germany and want transport it with a trailer.

Greetings from Germany

In Europe you should be more worried about the length of a car trailer than the width. ;)
