If I'm dropping the engine in from the top, can I bolt the headers up and then put in the motor? Or do I have to put the headers against the fenderwells and then drop in the motor and bolt them up?
Thanks

Ghoste

I think you will need to have the headers laying in there loosely and drop the engine in without them.

^ correct....     the easiest way is usually installing from the bottom - but from the top do as stated above - blankets on inner fenders and then kinda lay them in there then drop the engine in - slide the headers on the exhaust studs before you secure the motor mount bolts.

When I did my 440 in my Coronet I installed the headers and then dropped the motor in. Added the trans after. Worked fine.
