Just wanted to say hi to everyone! I joined this site about 2 months ago and this is my first time posting. I'm from Arizona born and raised. Since I was 10 years old I've alway wanted a 69 charger till this day. Didn't really matter if it was an RT or not. Well two months ago I was working on the opposite side of town from where I live and I was doing utility work on a couple of houses. There was this house that I just finished working on and spoke to the customer briefly then I went on to the next house. As I was working across the way from the house I noticed the customer opening his garage to take his dog for a walk and there she was a 1969 Dodge Charger! I went back and told him what a beautiful car he had and that has been my dream car for a very long time. He smiled and told me he was the original owner and bought the car brand new in 69. I was in amazement! Then I was blown away when he told me he was going to be selling it soon! I told him I was really interested. The charger has a 383HP 4 barrel with 727 auto trans, power steering, factory AC,power brakes. He then told me it had 77K original miles and has never been rebuilt and runs great! AC works great too. He told me it was a Bronz metallic with white top when he first bought it but years later he repainted it yellow with black top to change it up. It still has original Hub caps with original steel wheels on it. The interior is tan and is all original except for the carpet. No rust that I could see and he told me it has always been garaged its entire life. He also kept it well maintained with all the reciepts. Well long story short two months later I brought her home! I really believe the car found me! He gave me all the paper work that he got from dealership the day he bought it new, even the window sticker. For now I will enjoy the color it has and will probably put a bumble bee stripe on it cause I like the way it looks but when I ever get it repainted it will go back to its original color and original top color. I hope I didn't bore any on my posting.

Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

Welcome and great story!  I'm also in Arizona.
