I just noticed that all the stamped steel rockers are egg shaped and have lots of slop. Is this normal? these are the rockers off my 65 383.

Normal.  Wish I had a dollar every time someone replaced the rockers because they were loose on the shaft.

Well let me just say all the good people on here have saved me so much money over the years.  :2thumbs: I wish the internet had been around in the late 80's. I wouldn't have gotten screwed they few times I did a swap meets.  :'(. All though I must say most swapers were honest and educated me.

make sure you put the shafts in correctly or you will end up with oiling problems
