Headrests were a per side option?

According to the option sheet headrests were per side options. Meaning you could get one side and not the other. Anyone have a charger with this rarity? I would like to see pics.

yes, you could order drivers side, or passenger side, or both.....I have seen examples of all of these, but no pictures, sorry

Funny, I just bought a 69 RR parts car and the driver side had a headrest and the passenger side did not. I even looked in the seats for the hardware and there was none. I thought it was federally mandated in 69.

  cars  built on or after January  1st  1969  , had them as standard ,   on early 69 E series cars built  1968  , they were optional !
mine never had them SPD  November 22nd 68
