Where is the best site for decoding a 68 tag?

Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Thanks, the andy440 site was great. Looks like it had all the codes except the tires. Mine is a 31 code and it did not list that one. It decodes to 68 Charger with a 383 4 barrel, 4 speed, white outside with black interior, console, and bucket seats. Did they list the steering on the tag? I could not find a code for it. I did not realize this car was as rare as it is. I've heard numbers of only 259 383 4 speeds. Is that right.

Power steering is not coded on a fender tag.

From what I've seen there is an issue/problem with the '68 Charger transmission numbers as printed for the last couple of decades in Galen's "white books".
With almost 100,000 Charger built: the STANDARD transmission on V8 & /6 Chargers being the manual 3-speed column shift transmission, but GG's numbers show "ZERO" built and only a few "KNOWN" to exist.

The 1968 Model Year WARD'S "Automotive Yearbook", shows transmission breakdown based on the total number of '68 Chargers built for USA, Canada, & Export = 96,108
automatic = 90.4% ~ 86,882 units
3-spd manual = 2.4% ~ 2,307 units (ALL unaccounted for in GG's numbers) these would be 225 & 318 Chargers
4-spd manual = 7.2% ~ 6,920 units   (3,633 unaccounted for in GG's numbers) these would be 383 2bbl, 383 4bbl, 440HP, & HEMI Chargers

GG's numbers are consistent with WARD'S for other OPTIONS such as "power steering", "disc brakes", and "sure-grip".
