Hey gang....
Now that I have the Superbird, it is time to liquidate some body components I've been hanging on for a very long time... Trying to get a feel for stuff and their worth.. all for '68-70 Charger

1. Pair of really nice doors, complete and another pair of just shells

2. Nice '68-'69 hood

3. deck lid; factory luggage rack with rack still on it.

Looking to put these on the local Houston craigslist so I don't have to deal with shipping...  Components up in the attic right now, so no pictures...

Here is my  :Twocents: base on watching parts over the years:

I have seen good, rust-free complete 2nd gen Charger doors go for $500-600 a piece, shells a bit less at $150-300 each (depending upon condition of the skin).  Don't be surprised if you get low-balled on them though.  There are some people who still think that you can find complete, mint doors for $25, but that is simply not the case anymore as those junkyards have been mined out years ago.  (There are reproductions available for the door shells at around $600 a piece, plus shipping and taxes if someone wants to go that route.)  1968 and 1969 hoods are usually in the $200-300 range, same with plain decklids.  The prices on those are kept down because there are reproductions available.  (1970 hoods are an entire different beast because they will likely never get reproduced, so they are expensive to buy.)  A complete decklid with the luggage rack option on it is a good question, as the luggage rack is fairly rare, but then again not everyone wants one on their car.  I would say that the unit would be in the $400-500 range, but I may be off.

Last year at the fall swap I sold a decent pair of doors with a little plastic for $100.  I sold a hood, plain decklid and front valance for $200. I got another $30 out of a random lot of headlight door hinges, brackets and actuators. No bites on the rocker moulding, 68 tail lamps and panel trim. My biggest sale of the day was the black leather interior with rear sun visors from my 85 Turbo Z. I got $250 for that lot. I didn't quite make enough all day to buy the Max Wedge crossram a few spaces down for $900.

That hood would go for about $400 in my neck of the woods. Trunk lid without luggage rack about $200. (With rack, I have no clue)
Two rust free complete doors about $1000 and two rust free door shells about $400. :Twocents:

Anybody in my neck of the woods need a 70 hood for $400?

Ah, guess I'm in the same boat now... Logistics.... Would be nice to replace the '69 hood with a 70... But it would cost an arm and leg in shipping I'm sure.
