Power brake booster question?

My 1969 charger project has been completed and I am working out the bugs. I installed disc brakes on the front that were not from a pre made kit.  My brakes stop me gradually,  I can't lock the brakes and skid. I know there are many problems that can cause this.  I am going to ask a few questions at a time.  The car had a power brake booster on it when it was all drums.  I purchased the new power brake booster when I had plans of putting drums back on it.  I then went with disc on the front and used the power brake booster from the drum brake plan. Do I have the incorrect power brake booster for a disc brake car?  Thanks for any thoughts on my first question.

You'll need a bendix dual diaphragm power brake booster for disc. Can you post a picture of your booster?

Thanks Mopar Nut, I was just researching and discovered that I most likely have a single diaphragm booster.  I will take a photo to confirm.  Thanks for the info.  I am great full for this site and the people who post.  My restoration went  great with the info from research on this site.

I recently installed front discs and the bendix booster.  Here you can see the difference in the original single booster for drums and the new dual booster required for disc-drums.  You will have to enlarge the hole on the firewall approximately a 1/4".  Make sure you have the dual reservoir master cylinder too.  Cass at Dr. Diff has everything and is very helpful.  http://www.doctordiff.com/
