Over B5?  Maybe if it was green.

Decent car, but hardly 'investment grade' sort of high-hattery.  Too many little things on it not detailed.

The stuff that this auction has that bothers me is:

All CAPS text?
Spray paint over the vin tag,
Not restored gauge cluster and the missing screw. Which is highlighted by the zinc one used below.
Looks like bubbles in the trunk floor paint. That VIN tag is crusty so I am betting that the car was too.

I get the impression that it's a quick paint job and body work with new seat covers and carpet.... Which makes it a flip to me. Not a bad thing if that's what you are selling, but not "Investment Grade" by any means.

YMMV

Good assessment. My first thought was the very crusty fender tag. The rest of the car was probably pretty crusty in spots too. Hope the bodywork was done correctly. Fresh paint looks good for a little while - then the poor bodywork starts to come through. Agree - investment grade is stretching it. Scott.

I know Doug who is selling the car.  I haven't seen the car in person, but know he just picked it up a some months back.   A guy who had some coin had the car with a bunch of others and decided to start selling off.  Doug heard it from a friends about it, and met the guy and eventually bought it.

Doug went through the mechanics and fixed a lot of little stuff.   I think he got it for a pretty good price, and just looking to make a few dollars on it.   Doug has an impressive Mopar collection and he is trying to sell one of two cars off.  If the "other" car sells, he will do this car justice and fix the issues there are.  He has nothing to hide.

If there are any out of state people interested in it, PM me and I can get more information or pictures.

There you have it folks.  Sight unseen OK, you have Mike to validate it for you.

Chargers are still one of the hottest muscle cars out there.  $45k is strong money for a non original color car.  The #'s matching part is what brought the price up.   :Twocents: :Twocents:

My past 2 Chargers were B5 & FC7.  While this car looks sweet in purple, a HT in all blue is tough to beat.

polywideblock

have to agree  .

I was calling out the wrong colour  on a "numbers matching" car , not bagging it cause its purple  (fc7 is still my no.1 colour choice   :yesnod: )

might have a warped view on it but to me, to  be numbers matching  means it  matches the fender tag as well  :shruggy:

Obviously we have similar tastes except I don't have the blue one anymore.

I did have them both at one time for a short period.
